J. Vincent Williams (Vince) is the Executive Director of the Entrepreneurial Development and Leadership Institute (EDLI), where he leads efforts to empower Black, Latino, and women entrepreneurs through personalized business assessments, funding readiness, and a connected network of support organizations. As the Founder and Principal Consultant of JV Williams Consulting Group, Vincent brings more than 20 years of experience in business strategy, organizational development, and economic empowerment for underserved communities.
A third-generation entrepreneur and advocate for equity, Vince has held executive leadership roles at the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council, the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, and the Executives' Club of Chicago. He serves on several boards, mentors entrepreneurs through the University of Chicago's Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, serves on advisory boards for local higher education institutions, and is a frequent speaker on inclusive entrepreneurship. A native of Chicago's South Side (Roseland), Vince holds a dual MBA in Finance and Management, as well as a Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certificate from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
